Introducing the newest members of the “Open Toronto Team”

B. & E. were appointed by the ABWE Canada Board of Directors as Long-Term missionaries in 2023, having undergone an extensive vetting and interview process.

What is unique about B. & E. is that they currently live in Southeast Asia, and ABWE Canada has applied to bring them and their young daughter to Canada as religious refugees.

B. & E. both speak several languages. Coming out of a Muslim background, this young couple is well suited to reach Unreached People Groups in the Greater Toronto Area. They have already been used by God to lead several to Christ, and have been instrumental in seeing two churches planted and several church leaders developed among immigrants in Southeast Asia.

As part of the immigration process, we need to raise $45,000 to cover their living expenses for their first year in Canada. The plan is for them to live in London, Ontario, for the first year, working alongside other EveryEthne missionaries in the Persian community, learning Canadian culture, and raising a support network. 

If you would like to give towards this project, the funds will be held in a trust account until their refugee application is approved by the Canadian government (likely in 1-2 years). In the unlikely event the application is rejected, the funds will be designated for other Open Toronto Initiative church planters that we would like to recruit from outside of North America.
