Rick has been the lead pastor at the Metropolitan Bible Church in Ottawa, Canada. He was the president of Heritage College and Seminary for over 10 years. Rick attended Biola, Dallas Seminary (ThM) and TEDS (DMin). Linda led women’s ministries in local churches and directed the Graduate Certificate for Women in Ministry at Heritage College and Seminary. She attended Biola, UTA (MA in Linguistics), and Southern Seminary (EdD). She also holds certifications for TESL. They are dual citizens.

Rick and Linda Reed bring a lifetime of ministry and leadership experience to serve in the Open Toronto Initiative. They desire to encourage pastors and ministry leaders in order to equip local churches to reach the unreached in their own communities and in the Greater Toronto Area. Rick preaches in churches and equips pastoral leaders to be on mission for the gospel. Linda trains individuals and churches to lead gospel-focused ESL ministries and women’s ministries.

In Canada we have an unheard of opportunity to reach people who have never heard of Jesus. Toronto has the largest number of unreached people groups of any city in the world. Christians and churches have the privilege and responsibility to reach these new Canadians with the gospel
