We baptized five people from Afghanistan. Interestingly, the shepherd who taught them was also baptized in the same place two years ago. Praise God!
Here is the testimony of one of the men:
“I was born into a Muslim family and grew up adhering to our family’s traditions and beliefs. During my years as an immigrant, I grappled with significant emotional distress and found myself behaving harshly towards others.
I found myself drawn to the warmth and kindness I encountered among people attending church programs. As I participated in these classes, a profound realization dawned on me: I had been living in sin, and Jesus Christ had sacrificed Himself to atone for my transgressions.
Confessing my sins, I came to understand that my anger, resentment, and mistreatment of others were contrary to God’s will. Through His Word, I have experienced a transformation, replacing anger and resentment with patience and forbearance. We were taught to embody compassion, empathy, and kindness. I’m grateful for the positive changes in my life and aspire to be a faithful servant in this new community.”
