The Position

Bring your English speaking, writing, and teaching skills to create new contacts with youth and young adults in Germany. As an EFL volunteer, you will not only teach English, you will communicate the message of God’s love to the next generation in a fun and engaging way. If you feel God pointing you in the direction of missions work, this is a perfect way to get to know the ministry in Germany and see if there is a place on ABWE’s German missions team for you.

  • Use your energy, creativity, and enthusiasm to draw teens and young adults to Christ
  • Create and manage fun events that attract teens of all interests, abilities, and ages to the church
  • Live an authentically Christian life and be an inspiration to young Germans
  • Share your personal testimony and encourage discussions and questions that deepen faith

The Need

The Germany of today substitutes materialism, entertainment, and status for spirituality. About 38% of Germans do not believe there is a God. Christianity was strong in past generations, but surveys indicate that less than 2 percent of the populatoin know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. German youth are in desperate need of role models who can show them the way to true hope.

The Impact

ABWE works across Germany in regions and cities where there is little evangelical presence. As an EFL volunteer, you will spend time developing relationships with young people who are unfamiliar with the gospel. Allow God to use you to impact the spiritual lives of Germany’s younger generation and contribute to the growth of the German church!
