Zambia Medical Missions Team Trip
Trip Description: June 20-30, 2025
Zambia is a landlocked country in south central Africa. Our medical team will be staying in a guesthouse in Copperbelt Province, about 100* miles north of Lusaka, and working with national pastors. We leave the USA on Friday to arrive by Sunday morning. Sunday we will prepare the pharmacy. Monday to Friday we will hold simple clinics (no shots or procedures) in local churches. Saturday, after some tourist shopping, we will start the trip back to the USA to arrive by Sunday.
A key component of each clinic is taking patient histories, which is done in partnership with bilingual nationals. After taking the histories, which are given to the doctors, the history takers then present the gospel to those who have given them permission. At the end of each day, we take time to debrief and pray for the next day’s activities.
The Need
One of the earliest missionaries to Zambia was the famous Dr. David Livingston. His story spurred a remarkable interest in missions, but over the years many cults have entered the country. Many of the church leaders in have not had the opportunity to receive theological education, which has resulted in false teachers claiming to offer salvation through health, wealth, and prosperity. So many Zambians profess to be Christian but have a false faith based in works or family background.
The Impact
Use your medical skills on the mission field to heal people physically and spiritually. In our nearly 90 years of ministry, we have seen compassionate medical care soften hearts to hear the message of the gospel, changing lives for today and eternity. But we can’t do this without you.
Meet the Team Leader
Over the last 25+ years, Dr. Jack Sorg has worked with national partners leading these medical team trips to open doors into hearts, homes, and whole communities. He continues to lead trips to Central America, South America, Africa, Eastern Europe, and South Asia.
